1) Create a Meta Business Portfolio.
The best way to connect your accounts to Ceramics.Social is via a business portfolio.
Login to https://business.facebook.com/latest/ using your Facebook account, and select or create a new business portfolio from the menu.
Complete your business information: https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/business_info
Add your Facebook page or create a new one and add it to your portfolio: https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/pages/
From the top right of the page you can click on the Add button:
Either add an existing page by copying in and pasting the url to it:
Add or create your Instagram accounts to the portfolio: https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/instagram_account/
When selecting the pages, accounts, etc, make sure that your username is shown in the list and you have full control.

You can now connect your Facebook page to your Instagram account by clicking on the page, then on the "Connect assets" button - and choosing your Instagram account from the list.
In the end, you should have:
- 1 Business Portfolio
- Your Facebook page inside
- Your Instagram page inside
- Your Instagram page connected to your Facebook page
- Yourself inside the People tab with full access.
Add Account to Ceramics.Social
Now that you have your pages linked together in a meta business portfolio, you can click on the Add Account within Ceramics.Social:

Please accept the permissions for all of the accounts that show up within your business portfolio.
You will then have to login to your Facebook / Instagram account - you may have already previously logged in:
You can now select the accounts you want to connect to by clicking on the "Connect" button next to each one:
You should now see them in your Ceramics.Social account:

1) Setup your Instagram Account:
Before you begin
- To set up a professional account, you’ll need to create an Instagram account or use an existing Instagram account.
- You can have up to 10 Instagram accounts logged in at once.
Set up a professional account from the Instagram app
- Tap
Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
- Tap
More to go to your Settings and activity.
- Below For professionals, tap Account type and tools.
- Select Switch to professional account.
- Select your category. You can choose a category that best describes what you do.
Note: The category you choose does not determine whether you’ll set up a business or creator account. - Tap Switch to professional account.
- To set up a creator account, choose Creator.
To set up a business account, choose Business. - Tap Next.
- If you’re setting up a creator account, complete the optional steps to set up your profile. To skip this step, tap X on the top right corner to return to your profile.
- Add contact details for your business and tap Next.
To skip this step, tap Don’t use my contact info. - To connect to an existing Facebook Page, tap Login to Facebook. This step is optional and will make it easier to share Instagram posts on Facebook and use connected experiences such as ads and shopping tools.
To skip this step, tap Skip. - To display or hide business information on your profile, go to your profile and tap Edit profile. Go to Profile display below Public business information to choose whether you want to hide or display your category label and contact info. Then, tap Done.
Switch account types from the Instagram app
- Tap
Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.

More to go to your Settings and activity.
- If you have a creator account, tap Creator tools and controls. If you have a business account, tap Business tools and controls.
- Tap Switch account type.
- Tap to choose the type of account you want to switch to.
- Tap Switch.
Set up a professional account on instagram.com
- Click
More, then select Settings.
- Below For professionals, select Account type and tools.
- Click Switch to professional account.
- To set up a creator account, choose Creator.
To set up a business account, choose Business. - Click Next.
- Select your category. You can choose a category that best describes what you do.
Note: The category you choose does not determine whether you’ll set up a business or creator account. - Click Done. You’ll need to confirm that you want to switch to a professional account by clicking Continue.
- Add contact details for your business and click Save.
To skip this step, select Don’t use my contact info. - Click Done to return to your profile.
- Click
More, then select Settings.
- In the left-hand menu below For professionals, click Professional account.
- Click the checkbox next to Display category label to hide or display it.
- Enter any business contact info you want displayed in your profile below Public business information.
- Click the checkbox next to Display contact info.
- Click Submit.
Switch between account types on instagram.com
- Click
More, then select Settings.
- If you have a creator account, select Creator tools and controls. If you have a business account, select Business tools and controls.
- Click Switch account type.
- Choose the type of account you want to switch to, then click Switch.
2) Connect your professional Instagram account and a Facebook Page
When you switch to a professional account on Instagram, you'll be asked if you'd like to connect a Facebook Page. While it's not required, we recommend connecting your business Facebook Page to Instagram to get the most out of Instagram's business tools. Learn more about connecting your professional Instagram account to a Facebook Page.
Note: Once you've connected your Instagram account to a Page, anyone who has access to the Page or your Instagram account will be able to manage both profiles. If you've linked a Facebook Page to your professional account on Instagram, you'll only be able to share your Instagram posts to Facebook through that Page. You won't be able to share to another Facebook Page or to a Facebook profile.
Before you begin
To connect your Instagram account and a Facebook Page, you'll need to have:
A professional Instagram account. Learn how to set up a professional (business or creator) account.
Note: If you have a personal account, you'll be prompted to switch to a professional account during the linking process.
Your professional Instagram account in the same business portfolio as the Page that you want to connect to.
Note: Instagram accounts can only be in one business portfolio at a time. If you already have a business portfolio, remove your Instagram account from the existing portfolio and add it to the portfolio with your Page. Learn how to add or remove an Instagram account from your business portfolio.
Connect your professional account to a Facebook Page
To connect a Facebook Page to your professional account:
- Go to your Instagram profile.
- Select "Edit profile".
- If you have a business account, scroll to Public business information.
If you have a creator account, scroll to Profile information. - Tap Page, then tap Connect or create.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap Log in to Facebook, then tap Continue to review your Facebook account. If you'd like to use a different account, tap Switch Facebook account.
- Choose the Page that you'd like to connect to, then tap Connect.
Or tap Create a new Facebook Page and follow the steps to create a Page.
Your professional account is now connected to a Facebook Page.
Note: If you select an existing Page, you may be prompted to log in to your personal Facebook account. This is a required authentication step to confirm that your personal Facebook account has access to the Page.
